“Gunpla” Depicting the Battles Through CG × Live-Action! “Gundam Build Real” by General Director Motohiro Katsuyuki Streamed from March 29
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of "Gunpla", a live-action "New Gundam Build Series", titled "Gundam Build Real", by general director Motohiro Katsuyuki will be streamed on March 29, 2021.
"Gundam Build Real" is a part of the Gunpla 40th anniversary commemoration project "GUNPLA LINK PROJECT" in 2020, and was produced by Sunrise under the supervision of general director Motohiro Katsuyuki to celebrate that 40th anniversary. The special video was created by editing the CG Gunpla battle into the live-action ensemble of coming-of-age dramas of highschool students thriving through Gunpla battles.
Many customized versions of Gunpla that are on sale are featured in the video. Realistic recreations were made possible by coloring and building the actual products, and how to recreate/build the Gunpla will be released online.
Also, there are plans to commercialize the Gunplas from the video.
"Gundam Build Real" will be released on the Gundam official YouTube channel "Gundam Channel" at 8:00 p.m. on March 29.
