The CM of the "Slam Dunk Scholarship" that was established by Inoue Kazuhiko, the author of the basketball manga "Slam Dunk", was broadcast for one time during the half-time of "Nippon Seimei B.League Finals 2020-21" on May 30, 2021.

"Slam Dunk Scholarship" is a scholarship that will provide a chance for the scholarship holders to study in America, and it is only applicable for high school students, who are involved in basketball. Out of the 15 people that were selected up until 2019, 7 graduates are actively participated in the local boy's professional basketball league "B.League".

However, due to the novel coronavirus, this scholarship was put on hold since 2020. Thus, making it hard to support the dream of the highly potential high school students.

The release of the CM "Slam Dunk Scholarship Special Movie" was decided based on the determination of "Slam Dunk Scholarship" to become an existence to support the high school students as it hopes for them to pursue their dream regardless of the situation.

The CM "Slam Dunk Scholarship Special Movie" was broadcast for one time during the half-time of "Nippon Seimei B.League Finals 2020-21" on May 30.
