Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc - Episode 5 Review - Uzui Finds Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma

This ep follows Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc - Episode 4, and it’s another great ep. It begins with Uzui rushing around town searching for his wives. Why didn’t he just do that in the first place before getting Tanjiro’s crew involved? He finds one of his hot wives, Hinatsuru, tied up by Daki’s belt.
Hinatsuru apologizes about being caught by Daki and not of help. She tried to get away in time to inform her husband, but the belt was spying on her. So she got caught. Uzui says there’s no need to be ashamed.
He then leaves her to continue his search. And with his amazing sound abilities, he hears fighting underground. But more on that later.
We continue to see the fight between Tanjiro and Daki where it left off. After barely clashing at all, Tanjiro’s blade has already been nicked. Of course, Tanjiro blames himself and not the swordsmith. He feels Water Breathing just isn’t the right style for him. Hinokami Kagura is more compatible. But it takes so much energy out of him. Which is why he’s trained so hard. It’s for a fight like this!
He remembers the words of Rengoku to SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE! Using Hinokami Kagura moves, he does much better against Daki. Even she’s impressed. But he’s still too slow to get a hit on her neck. The four belt parts that she controls are like tentacles that are hard as swords! It makes for a difficult fight. She is Upper Six, after all.
Elsewhere, Inosuke is rampaging around the Ogimoto House, following the demon’s scent. The shoufu girls are terrified by this boar monster, but of course Inosuke doesn’t care. He finds a hole leading to Daki’s lair underground. He hilariously dislocated his arm to make it into the tiny hole and wiggles his way deep into the lair.
There, Inosuke finds a whole bunch of the belt hanging everywhere. This is the food locker, holding all the missing women that Daki has captured. Zenitsu is stuck in the belt, too.
We discover the belt has a life of its own, and it can follow Daki’s commands. It looks gross, and Inosuke thinks so, too. Belt-chan fights Inosuke, but he’s too good. He frees some women with his slices. The belt is fast, however. It almost sucks the women up again. Luckily, two of the women that Inosuke frees are Makio and Suma! So all three Uzui wives are alive and well! They help fight the belt. And Zenitsu gets free and fights in his sleep mode as well!
As if that wasn’t enough, Uzui breaks through the ceiling of the cave and eradicates most of the belt in one blow! Right away, Belt-chan knows he’s a hashira.
Makio recalls how Uzui cares about the lives of his wives. He puts them above his own safety. Wish we could see more of the fight, but we have to wait until the next ep!
